The Snow Goose Unit Test


Test Dates:

H Block – May 7th

C and D Block – May 8th



The test will be one hour in length and will be marked out of a total of 30 points. It will consist of two parts:


Part 1 – (12 points)

12 Multiple Choice Questions

Part 2 – (18 points)

A one to two paragraph analysis of one of the literary elements in the novel



Review/Study:

  • Students should be familiar with the contents of the novel.

  • Literary devices (language and sound) including foreshadowing and symbol. You should be able to define these literary devices and identify them in short quotes from the novel.

  • Literary elements and accompanying terms. Students should be familiar with the 6 literary elements in a novel and literary terms such as rising action, flat/round character, atmosphere, omniscient etc. You should be able to identify and discuss all the literary elements and terms with respect to the novel.
